Organizations and chapters

All alumni with a degree or postgraduate certificate from the VCU School of Business (including Richmond Professional Institute) are automatically members of the VCU Business Alumni Society. The primary purpose of BAS is to support the educational and career goals of our students and graduates. Get involved through social events, networking, career opportunities, mentoring and more.

VCU’s Black Alumni Council fosters pride among alumni and students through strategic engagement, promoting their holistic growth and contributing to their recruitment and retention. Participation in BAC is not limited to Black alumni. All alumni are invited to participate.

• Attend council meetings to hear committee updates, upcoming event and program information and learn about philanthropic initiatives for students and alumni.
• Join our award-winning Mentoring Circle to connect with current students and guide them through college life.

The Jewish Alumni Association seeks to strengthen the bond between the university and the Jewish alumni community, create and promote community service opportunities and work collaboratively with VCU Alumni to develop networking and engagement opportunities of interest to the Jewish community. Rams for PRIDE was established in 2025 thanks to the support and guidance of a group of dedicated members of the VCU LGBTQ+ community. The initiative’s goal is to empower individuals, amplify voices and cultivate connections among all members of the VCU and LGBTQ+ communities. All VCU alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends are invited to participate in Rams for PRIDE.

The Military Veterans Alumni Council offers an opportunity for VCU alumni to reconnect with one another and to the current student body through the unique bond of military service. ‌‌Many opportunities exist to empower our returning service members, perhaps none more important than education. It is our goal to enrich the university experience through veteran-centric programming, promoting professional development through veteran-to-veteran mentorship and internships for veteran students with veteran-owned businesses.
